Every spring, a wave of colorful flower-festival photos overwhelms the internet. This is for good reason, as the Pacific Northwest is home to several renowned festivals. But Oregon’s Willamette Valley is home to perhaps one of the most well-known annual spring events: The Wooden Shoe Farm’s Tulip Festival. The 2020 Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival will be open from March 20 to May 3 during which time you will be able to visit a stunningly vibrant and expansive 40 acres of flowers on the farm.

The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival is about more than just viewing the blossoming flowers. The farm also features its own gift shop, café, a Tulip Fun Run and kid’s area which includes cow train rides, rubber ducky races and pony rides. Not to mention, the farm is an Instagrammer’s paradise. With the never-ending tulip fields, windmills and Mt. Hood on the horizon you’ll have your work cut out for you.

While visiting the Wooden Shoe Farm you will be delighted to find that you can purchase bouquets or bulbs so you can try your hand at growing tulips yourself. Soon enough you may have your own miniature tulip farm.
