Everyone loves a mystery. And every town has mysteries tucked away in the shadows of back alleys, forgotten buildings and tales of unsavory characters. Missoula, Montana, is a vibrant city with an active arts and culture scene. With so much to experience and enjoy, the city’s less conspicuous past might go unnoticed. But there are history and legacies found in the city’s shadows. And Unseen Missoula Tours illuminates those shadows, however briefly, for its guests.
Unseen Missoula is a program of Heritage Missoula from the Downtown Missoula Partnership. It offers guided walking tours to showcase the city’s unique history and give both locals and visitors even more reasons to fall in love with Missoula.
The walking-tour season begins in April and continues through October. Unseen Missoula is currently comprised of two main tours: Basements & Back Alleys and Hotels & Hooligans. Many visitors do both.
