The Yakima Valley’s SOZO Sports Complex is kicking off a new summer race series with some fun twists. We think it’s time to plan a trip for some racing fun in the sun.

May 8 – Yakima Super 5K

Dress up as your favorite superhero or supervillain at the family-friendly 5K.  Signage along the race course will feature supers and villains such as Wonder Woman, Superman and the Joker. It’s perfect fun for fans of all ages.

June 12 – Bubbles and Brews 5K

Participants 21 and older will actually have two craft beverage running events to choose from; Finish up your Bubbles and Brews 5K run with celebratory wine and beer at the finish or take the leisurely route with a 2K walk with wine- and beer-themed stops along the route. Or enjoy both.

July 10 – Mud, Sweat and Beers 5K

Get down and dirty as you weave your way through 10 to 12 muddy obstacles at the Mud, Sweat and Beers run.  Kids have their own race with the Muddy Buddies Youth Division or the Mud, Sweat and Tears Young Adult Division.

Choose one, two or all three. Reward yourself with post-race parties complete with delicious bites, beverages and music.  All adult participants will receive a shirt, finisher medal and a complimentary beverage of their choice. Youth participants will receive a finisher medal and complimentary beverage.
