Be dazzled by Lighted Tractor Parade in Centralia, Washington

Remember the holiday joy and anticipation of your youth? Rekindle that magic with an experience unlike anything you have done before. The wonder of childhood is only a short drive or train ride from Portland or Seattle in the charming, centrally located, historic downtown of Centralia, Washington. On December 11, 2021 be dazzled by the award-winning Lighted Tractor Parade.

Over a mile of tractors, farm implements, trucks, floats and marching bands decked out in more than 100,000 lights parade through Centralia’s 100-year-old, beautifully preserved downtown. Expect to gasp, point and drop your jaw – it’s truly that spectacular.

The Centralia Downtown Association embraced the town’s agricultural roots and its quirky character with the creation of this event over 10 years ago. Since then it has been voted the best community event in Lewis County year after year, and in 2020, it was awarded “Best Promotional Event” from Excellence on Main, a statewide competition.

The parade begins at 6:00 p.m., but come early and explore unique shops, new tap houses, vintage treasure hunting, original local artwork and delicious eateries along a main street that is just steps away from the stunning historic train station. Centralia is worth a visit any time of year. However, during the holidays, the town exudes a holiday spirit that would inspire Norman Rockwell.

Meet up with friends or relatives and share the experience. Better yet, make it a part of your holiday tradition. You will leave with a smile on your face, a phone full of photos and something you will talk about until you come again. Your heart has been waiting to feel that childhood joy.
