Get to know Juneau, Alaska, on its waters through a whale watching tour provided by Alaska Travel Adventures. Steller sea lions, harbor seals, Dall’s porpoises and bald eagles are some of the most common animals spotted, but a whale sighting is guaranteed with every boat ride.

These tours provide an intimate experience for guests by limiting boat passengers to only 48 people per tour, and the 360 degrees of windows allows for everyone to get that perfect photo. The North Star, their state-of-the-art jet boat, was specially designed for whale watching with an outside viewing deck and an amplified hydrophone system for listening to whales communicating under water.

Throughout the 2 hour and 40 minute tour, guests can expect narration from the Captain and on-board naturalist about the surrounding wildlife. The crew on Alaska Travel Adventures pride themselves on providing the most comfortable experience possible for their guests with features that are hard to come by in marine boats, such as high ceilings on-board, full-sized marine head and ADA accessibility.

Alaska Travel Adventures also provides private tours for special events and occasions. For more information about Alaska Travel Adventures, visit For more information about visiting Juneau, go to
