Adventure Calls, a virtual adventure series from Visit Central Oregon and hosted by National Geographic photographer, Chad Copeland, features the unique culinary culture, arts, and recreational opportunities in Central Oregon. Central Oregon is home to the cities and communities of Bend, Redmond, Sisters, La Pine, Prineville, Madras, Maupin, Warm Springs, and the resort community of Sunriver. The series will take you behind the scenes of the region’s culinary, arts and cultural attractions.
Throughout the series, Copeland embarks on unforgettable adventures like catching a classical concert on the top of Mt. Bachelor, whitewater rafting on the Deschutes River, exploring regional cuisine and craft beer, and moving around the region on horseback, motorcycle, and more. From wine tasting to taking a dip in freezing temperatures, and from riding horseback at Smith rock to taking a swing on some of the nation’s top golf courses, there’s no shortage of adventure when it comes to this series. With the stunning backdrop of Central Oregon, each episode takes viewers to a new corner of the region, showcasing just how beautiful the high desert is.
Adventure Calls is a series full of entertaining challenges, cultural and historical education, and fun with a common thread through the spirit of adventure. While potential visitors are being asked to refrain from non-essential travel in the state, the series provides entertainment and inspiration for future travel. The series premiered on April 22, and episodes 1-6 can now be viewed at adventurecalls.visitcentral.oregon.com or https://www.youtube.com/user/VisitCentralOR.
