Seattle’s Teatro ZinZanni is celebrating 20 years of presenting cirque, comedy and cabaret in the Pacific Northwest. Teatro’s beloved spiegeltent opened its doors in the fall of 2018 at its brand-new location in Woodinville, Washington, with a new production featuring its signature blend of love, chaos and dinner with a vintage twist. The show? “Hollywood & Vine.”
“We are excited to raise the beautiful spiegeltent at our new home in Woodinville,” Reenie Duff, artistic director says. “Our kickoff show features a number of veteran ZinZanni artists with an infusion of new talent, a combination that will create an electric and entertaining evening for all of our guests.”
This dazzling new production showcases a cast of familiar Teatro performers as well as new top circus talents from around the world. New talent includes: a hula-hoop artist and three-time Guinness World Record holder; a former Cirque du Soleil acrobatic dancer and aerialist; and, finally, a former “America’s Got Talent” contestant who is an aerialist and Chinese Pole expert.
Popular returning artists include the award-winning Christine Deaver, hoop aerialist Arianna Lallone, rock vocalist Jen Ayers, Parisian acrobat Domitil Aillot and trapeze artists Ben Wendel and Mick Holsbeke.
The new Teatro ZinZanni is located at the former Red Hook Brewery, a sizeable space that accommodates both the company’s performance space demands and James Beard Award-winning Chef Jason Wilson’s newly designed culinary program.
“Our new home gives the opportunity to really expand the offerings and bring the show and dinner experience to the next level together,” says Chef Wilson. “I will always focus on seasonality through bringing the highest quality ingredients to the center stage, sometimes literally!”
