Escape the crowds this summer on a kayaking day trip with Liquid Adventures, in Alaska’s Northwestern Fjords and Holgate Arm. This area of the Kenai Fjords National Park is pristine, remote and absolutely spectacular.
Guests will get the opportunity to travel from Seward, Alaska, to the kayaking destination onboard a new, custom-built catamaran, which provides private access to the fjords. This boat allows the group to interact with the captain and guide, learn about the fjord ecosystem and ask questions before they get out on the water.
Once guides have determined the best and safest route for the day, the group of six or fewer climb into their kayaks. On the trip, guides will help kayakers navigate the fjords and rocky coastline in search of whales, sea lion haul outs and hidden coves. The Northwestern Fjord and the waters of Holgate Arm boast several calving glaciers, steep granite cliffs and coastal waterfalls. The area is also known for its wildlife, from Alaska seabirds to frequent humpback sightings.
