Join the fun in Garibaldi on September 29 for Crave the Coast, the inaugural food festival celebrating the bounty of Oregon’s North Coast. The festival will feature 40 local food and beverage producers, food trucks serving fresh seafood and grass-fed beef, cooking demonstrations, prize giveaways and an opportunity to meet the makers. Eat, drink and explore Garibaldi’s port and fisheries.
Crave the Coast vendors include Fishpeople Seafood, Food Roots, Pelican Brewing, Tillamook Creamery, Cannon Beach Distillery, Nehalem Bay Winery, Nestucca Bay Creamery, Garibaldi Cellars, Depoe Bay Brewing, Riverhouse Dressing, North Fork 53 and many more.
Crave the Coast is part of the North Coast Food Trail (northcoastfoodtrail.com), launched earlier this year. The first of its kind in the state, the trail’s theme of Food, Farm, Fish and Forage encompasses the region’s vast and diverse range of agriculture and recreational opportunities. There are 60 participants that specialize in local foods, including farms, farmers markets, restaurants, lodging, retail, cooking schools, guided experiences and breweries, wineries and distilleries. The trail extends from Cannon Beach through Tillamook County to Lincoln City.
Crave the Coast is held Saturday, September 29, noon to 6:00 p.m in the Garibaldi event tent overlooking Tillamook Bay. Tickets are $30 for adults, $20 for those under 21 and free for children six and under. Tickets can be purchased here. Learn more at cravethecoast.org.
